Eligibility Guidelines
All entered podcasts must meet the following criteria: 
- The named author on the submission must be a student or faculty member at one of the participating institutions.
- The named author must be 18 years or older.
- All material in the podcast must follow strict adherence to existing copyright laws: Copyright Information from the UT Libraries.
- All entries must be submitted electronically.
- Only one submission by person/group allowed per category.
- Podcasts may be submitted for only one category.
- Terms Of Agreement:
• The copyrights and ownership of the work remain with the creator.
• The work will be attributed to the author(s).
• The work is not available for commercial use.
• The podcast file and its transcript will be available on the competition website for 2 years.
• Segments may be used for competition promotional purposes.
• The submission entries will be retained indefinitely for research purposes.
- Entrants agree to participate in and provide information for any research carried out on the benefits of this tournament and its practices. Entrants agree to supply all of the required podcasting information along with the podcast entry submission, including release forms which will be downloadable from the site. Entrants will also be asked to respond to a brief survey or questionnaire to facilitate research on the uses of podcasts in education.
Submission Guidelines 
This year's Digital Media Sandbox Consortium Tournament is accepting audio, video, and enhanced podcasts.
- Podcasts (audio, video, enhanced) should be in the 3-7 minute range. Submitted podcasts can be segments of a longer podcast or an episode from a series.
- Students must be sponsored by a faculty member.
- All entries should be submitted in an .mp3, .mp4, .m4a, .m4v or .mov format.
- Podcasts will be evaluated by rubric on website.
- Each podcast must include an introduction which includes, at a minimum, the author(s) name(s), the category being entered, and the sponsoring institution.
- Podcasts will be evaluated on the quality of their content more than the sophistication of production.
- All participants must print, sign, and submit the contest release with their submission.
Entry Guidelines
- Type or print the Entry Form (link below) completely. This information will be reproduced on the competition Web site as submitted if you are selected as a winner.
- Send 2 well-protected samples on CD-ROMs or DVDs.
- Credit all persons involved in the creation of the piece. The ITC is not responsible for incorrect, illegible or incomplete information.
- Using removable tape, securely attach a copy of the Entry Form to the back of each sample of your entry.
